History of Fendi Casa
The Fendi Casa home collection was created in 1989 as a natural evolution and a new important chapter
of a great Italian business epic characterised by an unlimited creativity. The fashion-design combination
has always been particularly successful in the case of Fendi, a company with eighty years of experience
and whose scale has been growing internationally.
Established in Rome in 1925, thanks to the intuition and entrepreneurial skills of Edoardo and Adele
Fendi, the fashion house was then led to the top of its prestige by the persistency, and determination of
a team made up of five sisters: Alda, Franca, Carla, Paola and Anna. Most recently the brand has been
acquired by the French luxury group LVMH headed by Bernard Arnault.
From the revolutionary and exclusive haute-couture fur coats, the result of a unique combination of
craftsmanship and high technology, launched with incredible success all over the world already in the
1960s achieving unprecedented results in terms of research in style and materials, to the extraordinarily
inventive accessories such as the mythical baguette handbag created in 1997 by Silvia Venturini, the
daughter ofAnna Fendi. This prestigious brand has paved theway for a highly innovative and contemporary
aesthetic concept which, focusing on new interactions between forms and material resources, created a
transversal functionality which has become the rule for stylish daily living.
