Yammar, or ‘the core of the palm’ is an apt name for a development that aims to act as a cultural bridge between the glorious past and an affluent future that awaits Kuwait, an undisputed oasis of culture and tradition. The project is poised to become the cultural hub of the region, bringing the varied art forms such as theatre, cinema, music, and poetry under its umbrella, making them accessible to future generations.
Yammar Cultural Village is an artistic combination of land and sea, symbolically connecting the past to the present. Standing tall at the apex of the Arabian Gulf, the development is spread across an area of 4.6 million square meters. The project will be segmented to include all the GCC countries, with Kuwait in a central position. Kuwait will be surrounded by other GCC countries, each having its own distinctive architectural style. Apart from the cultural and tourist facilities mentioned, the project will also host residential, administrative and commercial complexes to form a comprehensive live-work-play community.
