Waterfront

Dubai Waterfront is an ambitious project developed by Nakheel, a set of man-made islands that were intended to form an artificial archipelago shaped like the star and crescent, the most widely recognised symbol of Islam. Being developed with a vision to emerge as a world class destination for residents, visitors and businesses, Dubai Waterfront - which is situated around Palm Jebel Ali, is expected to house an estimated population of 1.5 million people. Upon completion, Dubai Waterfront would add more than 70 kilometers to Dubai’s coastline and encompass an area of 1.4 billion square feet of water and land developments. The Dubai Waterfront project had earlier been stalled with the onset of the global financial crisis in 2009.
