Neira’s conceptual design demands for a well studied axis point that compliments Kuwait’s well developed infrastructure
network.
The study of heavy traffic has instigated the Neira Development as a solution to minimize highly congested roads. The
conceptual design proposes to have the prime access point of the island extend from the city’s east-west roads, permitting
easy flow onto and out of the island. The introduction of public transport such as the monorail and LRT is also a mechanism
providing an alternative to the car as well as an efficient, environmentally benign transport system. Parking will readily be
accessible throughout the site to ensure the demand for parking space is met. The Neira’s infrastructure and transportation
system will be strategically employed to coordinate a self-reliant and pleasant environment.
